Leaving and Re-joining Guild
We are a growing guild, who does our best to provide all its members every opportunity for advancement and raiding opportunities. When here many friendships are formed, we all look at each other as family and the loss of a member affects the whole guild. While some may feel the need at some point to try out other guilds, for a number of reasons, we are not a holding guild to help you get awesome gear and such just to leave and join someone else, or revolving door for members to roam in and out.
Any member who chooses to leave the guild is subject to re-entry at the Initiate Rank and may be required to complete a Guild Membership Application. There are minor exceptions and reasons, which will be addressed on a case-by-case basis, so unless said reason is justified and discussed with the Guild leader and at least one Emissary before leaving the guild, you will be required to re-join as any new member. Any officer who leaves and requests re-entry will have to meet the “Total consistent days in guild days” requirement before attaining an entry-level officer’s rank.
Any member, regardless of rank, after leaving the guild for the third (3rd) time - will not be re-invited - for a period of at least 90 days. They will then have to go through the same application process as any new member and earn their ranks as such.
Activity is a key factor in gaining promotions, i.e., if you are interested in a rank promotion, following the steps required will earn them, but promotions are now, only granted at guild meetings - Including new member promotions. If you are not in attendance, your promotion will be skipped, UNLESS you have notified the guild leader, emissary, or counselor before hand of your absence, by mail or by post. A whisper, is easily forgotten. If you have an active alt in the game THEY don’t have to be present for a promotion, but YOU do need to send the guild leader or emissary an in-game note letting them know they are eligible for a possible promotion. Logging them out near a meeting location is a great idea, so they can easily be logged on to get their promotion.
Finally, Game Activity AFK’s - AFK from game for more than 30 days, (not logging in) will result in a one rank demotion, per every 30 days absent . This can be avoided if we are informed of an extended absence, and a note will be placed in the Guild Notes. We know how real life can make WOW take backseat or even get tossed into the trunk for a while, a simple mail or post should be made regarding this. After 4 months of AFK you will also begin loosing one rank per month. Also, members who are at the Initiate Rank AND have had no activity for 5 months or more are subject to removal from the guild. Even officers are subject to removal or demotion with extended AFK status.
